Intervenctions carried out in the last years.

- 2005-2006 Restoration of the Scoletta of the Saint: October 18, 2006 The Venerable Ark of St. Antonio opened the prestigious Scoletta after the restoration wholly funded by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo (about 1 million euros). - 2006 new lightning: December 22nd 2006 the new Basil lightening was inaugurated (funded by Enel Sole and Fondazione Antonveneta).

- 2006-2007 South Rose Basilica: the magnificent southern rose window of the Basilica was inaugurated on the 16th February 2007, after the restoration realized by Project Arts Poli srl of Verona and supported by Banco Popolare di Verona e Novara (113,000 euros) Photo ROSONE PICTURE ROSE WINDOW

- 2008 Cleaning up of the Altar: a complete cleaning of the high altar marble was realized in July 2008, financed by an anonymous benefactor PHOTOS MAIN ALTAR

- 2009 Monks’s refectory and Bread for the Poors: the Ministry of Heritage and Culture funded the Basilica of St. Antonio with a total amount 700,000 euros (around) for the remaking of the refectory ceiling (€ 500,000) and for the restructuring of the headquarters of Bread for the Poor in Via Orto Botanico. This funding also derives from lottery revenues. The projects were completed in 2009; since then these important and vital places for the life of the community have been made again available to the Friars’. - 2009 Restoration of the stoning of three Ragusei students: Cloister of the Capitolo, funded by the Company Dalmata di Storia Patria

- 2008-2009 Restoration of the Holy Ark Chapel: December 4th, 2009 the Holy Ark Chapel was inaugurated after interventions aimed to protect it against humidity infiltrations and the restoration of the extraordinary Renaissance relieves by J. Sansovino, Pietro and Tullio Lombardo etc.. and other masterpieces  - the Project (worth around. € 600,000) was funded by Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo and Venetian Heritage Inc. - See section - Go to the ad hoc description

ON GOING INTERVENTIONS

Intervention on the Basil roof (chapels and ambulatory): total makeover (covering layers and bearing structures) of a large portion of the roof (the Basil apse) and consolidation of the articulated wall hangings and external ornamental stones in the same sector (needed for meteoric infiltration). FUTURE INTERVENTIONS

- Restoration of the Altar and Sanctuary: restoration and protection / conservation of the extraordinary decoration of the Major Presbytery, including the main altar with the wonderful bronzes by Donatello and the precious marble enclosure adorned with panels of Andrea Briosco and Bartolomeo Bellano - (worth about 250,000 € ) – Project Sponsorship not yet found;
